Team Lead, System Analysis & Development | Prudential Financial | Newark, NJ

Has supervisory duties in instructing, assigning, directing and checking
the work of the other Systems Analyst/Programmers. Assists in planning,
organizing and controlling the activities of the section. May work with
client management to identify and specify complex business requirements
and processes for diverse development platforms, computing, environments
(e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software,
hardware, technologies and tools. Coordinates the activities of the
section with the client area and other Data Processing sections (e.g.,
data base, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.).
Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of
the development and implementation process. Performs related duties as
assigned or requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Java/J2EE, XML, SQL, DHTML and
JavaScript, and UNIX is preferred. Experience with C/C++, Win32, Java
Swing, AJAX, PHP, Perl a plus. Experience in any development (any level)
language or platform is required.
- Candidate should be current with the technology platforms available.
- Experience with Oracle Portal or other Portal software is a major plus.
- Experience with Oracle Financials is a plus.
- Experience with Mercury/HP ITG is a plus.
- A four-year bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or related is a major plus.
- Experience in system/process design (software, engineering, or
mechanical), project management, staff management, and project oversight
a major plus.
- Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills,
be self-starters, and excel when working in a team environment.
Candidate should be flexible enough to manage staff as well as perform
technology work on multiple projects.
